Patricia Falck works from her studio in Langley B. C. She is an Artist with a contemporary vision painting abstract landscapes with intense colour and expressive brush work.
A passion for colour has been with her for as long as she can remember. As a young child crayons kept her occupied for hours. Throughout her school years she spent as much time as possible in art class. After finishing Collage where she studied Commercial Art, and Art and Merchandising, she began her career in the Apparel Industry, eventually working in fashion as textile print designer.
It was not until later in life that she allowed herself to spend more time doing what she really loves, Painting!
She begins her oils paintings by working quickly, spontaneously laying in the composition with large blocks of colour. Over time the painting evolves as each stroke is placed in relationship to the previous stroke. Her visual perception continually develops as she explores the painting possibilities as they arise.
From 2001 -2008 Patricia studied at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and the Vancouver Academy of Art.
In 2014 -2016 she was represented by the Birthplace of B.C. Gallery in Fort Langley.
In 2017 she was represented by Gallery 204 in downtown Langley.
In 2018 and 2019 she was invited to join the West Fine Arts Society and is looking forward to being part of this exceptional group of artists again in 2020.
