Lorn Curry is a painter based in North Vancouver, British Columbia. He acquired his skills both through self-directed studies and under the direction of master mentors.
Inspired by the European hyperrealist and photorealist masters, he also cites fellow Canadian east coast artist Mary Pratt as having had a major influence on his art.
His work is an ongoing exploration of the constants of life that connect us all as human beings through place and through time: cherished objects, childhood memories, and shared daily experiences.
He is a member of the International Guild Of Realism, the Federation Of Canadian Artists and a number of other local community artist groups. His paintings are found in several private and corporate collections in North America and Europe.
His medium is oil paint. His message, notwithstanding your parents’ advice, is that you should play with your food.
Members of the public are invited to view his latest works by appointment at his studio which is located at 202-758 Copping Street in North Vancouver.
