Patricia Banks is a Canadian Landscape and Nature Artist best known for her detailed oil and acrylic paintings focused on nature, wildlife, and the beauty of the natural world. Her paintings begin outdoors “en plein air” with direct experience and observation in nature. She can often be found painting on location, or in her studio using the reference material she has gathered in her travels, to create larger landscape paintings. Her work is sensitive and communicates the moods and energy of the natural environment.
Patricia is a signature member of Artists For Conservation, the world's leading group of artists supporting wildlife and the environment, and has had her work featured and published in print each year since becoming a member four years ago. She is also a juried member of Oil Painters of America and has won many awards for her work. Patricia enjoys teaching painting workshops and regularly writes art related articles. A graduate of the University of Victoria, she has exhibited in shows across Canada and in the US, and her work can be found in collections throughout the world.
