Marilyn Hunt was born in Pouce Coupe, B.C., but has spent most of her life on the West Coast of British Columbia. She comes from a long line of hard working pioneers and lovers of the land. Being surrounded with creative expression, fine craft, and fine art in her youth was the perfect bedding ground for the growth of her artistic nature. Her career as a professional artist began in Victoria, B.C. in the early 90’s.

Marilyn magnifies the wonders of nature, seeing the parallel characteristics of humanity in its workings from root to sky. Marilyn paints primarily in acrylic but an on-going curiosity for mediums and texture, produces many works in oil, wax, and found objects. Marilyn currently lives in Langley, B.C. where she continues to express her inspiration from her home studio.
