Lesley White - AFCA
Lesley White (nee Milne) resides and works from her home studio in Prince George, BC. She has been painting in oils for 25 years, recording the life of the Western cowboy.
Although her subjects are immediately understood by the viewer, she wants people to linger and discover the hidden potential in the intricate details, implied textures and rich colours, stimulating the viewer into a dream of their own experience.
Inspiration is drawn from the lives and stories of the people she's had the privilege of meeting. Her work is a reflection of her response toward these special moments. Her intention is to contribute to the preservation of "the cowboy way" by eternalizing it through her work as a visual artist.
Lesley's work has been juried into several national and international exhibitions including the American Academy of Equine Art; Phippen Museum; CM Russell Museum; Mountain Oyster Club; Greenhouse Gallery of Fine Art; Calgary Stampede; and Ducks Unlimited National Art Portfolio and 2017 Legacy Collection. In 2019 she received Signature Status (AFCA) with the Federation of Canadian Artists and is a member of the Central Interior Chapter of the Federation. Lesley White, AFCA
